Subject: 1973 Seahorse
I have a Johnson Sea-Horse 20, I think it is a 1973. When I first take the boat out it seems to work fine. After a while out on the water, when I open it up it seems to slip like a car transmission would. If I slow down I can keep going, I just can't open it up. I opened up the lower unit and all is good. There is evidence of a water leak (milky gear oil) however everything looks almost new. Could you please point me in the right direction.
